Mark your calendars because on Monday April 7th yours truly and her oh-so-supportive family will appear on the Dr. Oz Show to talk about living without sugar!
The piece, filmed in both Vermont and at their studios in New York City, discusses our decision to shun sugar for a year, how our lives changed as a result, and demonstrates a few of our favorite recipes. How cool is that?
The segment will air the day before Year of No Sugar- the book- is released (Tuesday April 8th). Have I mentioned that you can pre-order your very own copy of Year of No Sugar? From sources such as Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Indie Bound and Indigo, or your local independent bookstore?
Check your local listings for air times!
I am super excited about the release of this book! I was telling some of my Jazzercise class customers about it. I will be hosting a giveaway during the month of April. I have also elected to go sugar FREE during the month of April. I know I will see marvelous results. In truth, I am most interested in seeing how my skin and my digestive system respond. I am also quite sure that I will see a significant change associated with my sinus issues.
Congratulations! I know this book will positively impact lives.
Hooray! What an awesome comment- thank you! And very excited to hear your results after going No Sugar for April- good luck!!
Hi Kim,
I would like to hear back from you as to how your month went sans sugar.
Hi Lisa!
In response to your request, I can tell you that I experienced tremendous results. Immediately, I noticed that I had no more itching and inflammation. My digestive system functioned in a “normal” way. That’s huge for someone who has always had issues related to BB! My body temperature regulation balanced out, and I did not have hot/cold flashes anymore. My tongue coating changed, becoming more of a pinkish-red versus white. I noticed that the pores on my face became less evident. Also, the chalkiness that I had on the heel of my feet cleared up. Lastly, but not only, I had more energy and slept 200 times better. No kidding! To go from chronic insomnia to quality sleep…it was so worth it.
Since April, I have elected to do a no-low sugar lifestyle. I don’t crave the sugar as I once did, and my body feels great. While I don’t deprive myself, I am very conscious of what I put into my body. I can tell right away if I have been exposed to something that’s not for my good.
The one thing people tend to ask me about even now is weight loss. Did I lose weight? Yes. But more than weight loss, I noticed the lines of my frame became and continue to become more refined.
Hope this helps. If you try to go without sugar, you won’t regret it. I wish you all the best.
K
